I had the opportunity to join Semana Tec EAU-QAT — an academic and cultural immersion across Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Doha. It was an experience that reshaped my global perspective and reinforced that leadership today requires cultural intelligence and adaptability. Throughout the program, each visit highlighted how respect, collaboration, and integrity are fundamental to international diplomacy and development; at Zayed University and Hamad Bin Khalifa University, I witnessed how education, innovation, and tradition coexist to drive sustainable growth, while engaging with local students and professionals emphasized that empathy is not only a personal value but also a critical professional asset in both diplomacy and business. One of the most impactful moments was visiting DP World in Dubai, where their team—including an alumnus from Tecnológico de Monterrey—shared how a clear vision, bold objectives, and continuous innovation transformed the company from a local port operator into a global trade enabler, reinforcing that success is defined not by scale but by mindset, foresight, and purpose. I returned from this journey inspired to continue building bridges across cultures, leveraging technology and leadership to create meaningful global impact.
