I had the opportunity to travel to Chicago for Tec Week: Fintech – From Physical to Virtual Money, an experience that allowed me to engage directly with industry professionals and better understand how finance and technology are reshaping modern businesses. Throughout the program, we visited leading institutions such as University of Chicago Booth School of Business, CBOE, Baker Tilly, Bloomberg, and the Federal Reserve Money Museum, where each visit provided a unique perspective—from academic insights on global economics and MBA pathways to the evolution of trading floors, the role of AI in consulting, and the power of financial data platforms. One of my key takeaways was recognizing the importance of understanding finance alongside business operations, as this experience reinforced how critical financial awareness is for making strategic and impactful decisions. This journey also solidified my interest in pursuing a future in finance and fintech, potentially through an MBA or a Master’s in Finance, particularly at the intersection of technology and financial systems where innovation continues to create new opportunities.
