I completed a 24-hour Datathon with Daniel Medina Martínez, Andrea Valdez, and Biniza Cruz Ruiz in the Hey, Banco Challenge, placing 4th of 32 teams. We built Hey Wrapped and Hey Vision, web applications developed with Next.js and Tailwind CSS that provide visual summaries and predictive insights into users' finances. Hey Wrapped recaps past activity, including top spending days, merchants, and categories, while Hey Vision forecasts future transactions by business. We also added a recurring-expense calendar that reminds users of upcoming payments based on transaction patterns. As backend developer, I built and deployed regression and classification models with Scikit-learn and Joblib, analyzed transaction data from over 1,000 users with Pandas and NumPy, and designed an implementation strategy informed by competitor analysis. This experience strengthened my data science and fintech skills, and I look forward to future hackathons.
